Final Year student Jeff Gillan has won a Commendation from YCN for his creative solution to the Cornetto brief. Jeff's concept 'Snap, Share and Scoop' features some playful copy and a nice user experience. Check out the full submission on Jeff's Behance
Jeff can now look forward to a trip to London in September for the annual YCN Awards, alongside classmate Ildiko Rohonka who won a commendation for her solution to the Quorn brief, which you can also view on her Behance. Well done guys!

Final Year HND Graphic Design student Sarah Mary Macrae won the Star Creative Student category at the annual Marketing Society Scotland Awards, held last week in Glasgow at SWG3.
The Star Awards recognises the very best in Marketing across Scotland, and brings together the largest gathering of the marketing and advertising community outside of London.

This win is our fifth success in seven years, and Sarah can now look forward to a paid placement at the Union (winners of Star Agency of the Year). Check out the full list of winners here.

New Show - New Talent

Our end-of-year Industry Night & Show takes place in less than two weeks, on Thursday June 1st. This year the event is at the Dovecot Studios, one of Edinburgh's best Arts spaces. Our theme this year is 'New'- inspired by all the positive feedback we've received from our partners and collaborators out there in the industry.
As well as exhibiting the final projects by our HND Graphic Design students, the show will include work from winning competition entries for the Marketing Society Scotland and D&AD, plus samples from our recent Schools project and our Mentoring Programme live 'One Week' projects.
The show is on for one night only - a hugely successful format we've used since 2013 - and runs from 6-9PM. You can book a place at http://new.etcshow.net
